I now take my pen in hand to pen you a few lines to let you know that I am well at presant and hope these few lines will find you all the same I received a Letter from you today and glad was I to hear from you I suppose that them that is drafted in Andover the biggest part of them rich ones such as Boutwell will pay there three hundred dollars before they will go I wish the god they will have to come them rich ones that I want to see out here I hope they will draft every dam one of them our Regt is a going to lieve the City again tonight is the last night that we are going to Stop in the City I was up on Christer St last night raising ned we do not know where we are going to but we hear that we are going to Port Hudson now about them Boots you need not make them unless I send for them if want them I will send for them I do not think of any thing more to write you so I must Close by biding you goodbye pleas excuse all poor writeing and mistakes give my love to all the folks and consider this from
