Elizabeth M. (Hanson) Whipple

Whipple, Elizabeth M 1955.044.1Elizabeth M. (Hanson) Whipple (1846- 1827), a native of Canada, was married at Chelmsford in April 1864 to fellow Canadian Daniel Whipple.  The couple lived in North Andover, where Daniel Whipple worked as a farm superintendent, and later became naturalized U.S. citizens.  Their daughter Frances became the wife of Andover doctor C.E. Abbott, who was the Historical Society’s first President.   Elizabeth died in Andover at the age of eighty-one.
