I now take my pen in hand to pen you a few lines to you to let you know that I am well at present and hope these few lines will find you the same we are having very fine weather here now but it has been very Cold for this place the folks say that they have not seen such weather for ten years be fore I have enlisted we expect to go home on a furlow next month but we may not go before Spring there has over four hundred and fifty enlisted out of the Regt so we are going home as a Regt have you got that last money that I sent to you I sent you twenty dollars the tenth of Dec I do not think of any news to write you so I will Close bye biding you good bye pleas excuse all poor writing and mistakes and consider this from
