11th Oct. Pleasant Valley.
take arms, Our coats. Haversacks(?)
canteens + 1 days rations-
In half an hour got on time- leaving
Govp.(?) Perry. Houghlon(?) Vaughn +  Buss
to guard camp- Daniels, Fosseson,. +
Rich sick- Whole Brigade
Sock cases at Wereston(?)- Started 7¾
P.M.- Saw Point of Rocks- And at
Frederick 11 P.M.- Countermarched +
camped in the street on sidewalks
could best clean(?)  5½ a.m.

12th

5½ a.m. marched out on N. Marsh(?)
road + had coffee made – Lt. Raymond-
took breakfast at a house- 50 ets(?)
the and rising towards Sugar loaf
12 marched through town + out on
the Georgetown Picke(?)- Gautunanp(?)
about 4 P.M. marched back
to Dephot(?)  + at 6¾ took care(?) of Point
of Rocks- And. 8½- banked(?) in the
stream(?) + get really(?) wet- 5 miles in F+C(?)

13th Oct. Point of Rocks
-Got rocks(?) lighted about 4½ a.m. + wall(?)
dried up- Refugees coming in from
the otherside-
Capt. B drew hard bread + bacon
-9 a.m.- Camped on Reg.(?)- 1 cos.(?) near the
R.R.

14th In camp- near R.R.-
– Lessed out Lboies(?) H.B.- soap
coffee + Bacon on/8 lbs. 6. 2 7 lbs soap
-Breakfast 25 cb(?) one Raymond(?)
Sent # 3 to Mary

Wounded cavalry man come
in reposted(?) humis(?) off shot by a rebel

Govt. Buffings(?) Got(?) B___(?)
went after the rebels- returned
beforedark- without seeing them.

15th One year ago I left Han_. Roads
for Charleston S.C. on board Rhode Island
