7th Nov.  Orleans Va
Snowing a little.  Moved our quarters into the woods+ hall just
got fixed for the night when
Orders came to pack up – We
did so as soon as possible + when
we got to camp on Brigade had
passed – the Passot batting + the
2nd Brigade – We overtook our
Reg. + marched about 5 miles
in the snow + mud –

near Watertown
8th  8 miles from Warrenton Va.
Sun out part of the time – snow
on the ground – Sent #9 letter to Mary
Clift Mills on Carters Run

9th Sunday  – Fired musket
+ made the best fire of any Co
Had services in P.M.

10th  in same camp –
About 2 Oclock  P.M. got orders
to strike tents + start –

Clift Mills on Carters Run
10th Nov. near Waterloo Va.
Got Perry into an am bu lance +
then out again – Marched
¾ of a mile rested + came back
to the same spot –
(Rebels attacked our lines a
few miles S.W. of us.)
Goodwin + Fuller came up from
Weaverton – a walk on the way.
They came thro Warrenton where they
saw Ge. Burnside.
Reed. #13 from Mary.
Had.Of. news of Allen’s death –
Daniels is in Washington – all the
rest are doing well –

11th  Had Descriptive lists made
out for Perry + Williams to send them
to Warrenton – (mended pants)
Bought five of FB for Co of Kelley – $2.00

Drew Ration FB. + Coffee + a little Sugar+[]
40lb. Bacon.  Perry in our tent all
day – slept with Boynton as Dr. that
he would be as well off there.
